Yalta
Yalta (Ialta, Ялта) is a Ukrainian port and resort city on the Black Sea coast, in the Yalta municipal district (Ялтинська міська рада) of the republic of Crimea (Республіка Крим). During Tchaikovsky's lifetime it was the administrative centre of the Yalta district (Яалтский уезд), in the Taurida province (Таврическая губерния) of the Russian Empire.
Tchaikovsky visited Yalta briefly on 10/22 July 1887, on his way to see Yuliya Shpazhinskaya at Sevastopol.
