Montreux

Montreux is a town in the French-speaking canton of Vaud, Switzerland, on the shores of Lake Geneva.

Tchaikovsky travelled to Montreux on 13/25 July and 14/26 July 1873 while visiting nearby Vevey."I went to Montreux and Chillon [castle] and viewed the latter" [1]. The next day he walked on foot from Vevey to Montreux.
