Monaco
Monaco is a small city-state and principality on the northern coast of the Mediterranean Sea, close to the border between France and Italy.
Tchaikovsky stayed in Monaco from 2/14 February to 3/15 February 1878 as a guest of the Russian pianist and composer Mikhail Azanchevskii, who was then director of the Saint Petersburg Conservatory.
