Lindau
Lindau is a city in the south of the state of Bavaria, Germany, near to the border with Switzerland. During Tchaikovsky's lifetime the city was part of the independent Kingdom of Bavaria until 1871, when it was incorporated into the German Empire.
Tchaikovsky spent the night of 9/21 November–10/22 November 1884 in Lindau, travelling by train to visit his friend Iosif Kotek in Davos.
