Feodosiya
Feodosiya (Феодосія), also known as Feodosiia (Феодосия, Feodosija) or Theodosia, is a Ukrainian port and resort city on the Black Sea coast, in the Feodosiya municipal district (Феодосійська міськрада) of the Republic of Crimea (Республіка Крим). During Tchaikovsky's lifetime it was the administrative centre of Feodosiya district (Феодосийский уезд), in the Taurida province (Таврическая губерния) of the Russian Empire.
Tchaikovsky visited Feodosiya briefly on 9/21 July 1887, travelling with his brother Anatolii. He toured the Ayvazovsky picture gallery, before heading on to Yalta.
