Agrippina Stefanova

Maternal great-great aunt of the composer (b. 1756; d. 1/12 June 1798), born Agrippina Ivanovna Popova (Агриппина Ивановна Попова); known after her marriage as Agrippina Ivanovna Stefanova (Агриппина Ивановна Стефанова).

Agrippina was the second child of Ivan Popov (ca.1732–1783) and his wife Tat'iana (ca.1736–?). In 1772 she married Ivan Stepanovich Stefanov (1743–1798), and the couple had four children—Semen (b. 1774); Tat'ana (b. 1777); Ivan (b. 1778); Elizaveta (b. 1783). She died from consumption on 1/12 June 1798, and is buried at the Okhtenskii Cemetery in Saint Petersburg.
