Elizaveta Andreevna Shobert

Елизавета Андреевна Шоберт

Maternal aunt of the composer, with whom the Tchaikovsky family stayed in Saint Petersburg until the 1860s. Born Elizaveta Andreevna ASSIER (Ассиер) in 1823, the elder child of Andrei Mikhailovich ASSIER & Amalia Grigor'evna (b. GOGEL').

She married Vasilii SHOBERT, and they had three children:

  1. Amalia Vasil'evna SHOBERT (1841-1912). Married to Count Nikolai Fedorovich LITKE (1839-1887).
  2. Vil'gelmina Vasil'evna SHOBERT. Married to Mr VON GAN.
  3. Ekaterina Vasil'evna SHOBERT (d. 1866).
