Anna Popova

Anna Dmitrievna Popova (Анна Дмитриевна Попова) was a maternal great-grandmother of the composer, born Anna Rykovskaia (Рыковская) around 1752 in Moscow, the only daughter of Dmitrii Rykovskii and his wife Evfimiia (b. Iosifovich)).

On 1/12 June 1774 she married Mikhail Ivanovich Popov (1752-1792) at the Church of Saint Sergiev in Saint Petersburg, and they had five children:  Varvara (b. 1776); Ekaterina (1778-1816), grandmother of the composer; Nikolai (1779-1869); Maria (b. 1783); and Sergei  (1785-1851).

Anna Popova is believed to have died around 1823.
