Andrei Assier

Maternal uncle of the composer (b. 4/16 April 1811; d. after 1880), born Andrei Andreevich Assier (Андрей Андреевич Ассиер, Andrej Andreevič Assier, Andrey Andreyevich Assier).

Andrei was the fourth child of Andrei Assier and his wife Ekaterina. He became an army colonel, and had at least three children—Mikhail, Agnes, and Nikolai.
