I heard the Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto last night and wondered if the
theme of the second movement had a Jewish origin. Thanks

There's nothing in the known history of the work that
would suggest that, although Tchaikovsky was attentive to folk tunes that
he heard in Russia and on his travels abroad.
