History
Written in December 1870 for students of Berta Val'zek's singing class at
the Moscow Conservatory. It was played
for the first time, apparently, at a concert given by students of Berta Val'zek,
and repeated at a concert of Tchaikovsky's works on 16/28 March 1871 [1].
The trio was dedicated to Berta Val'zek, and published by Pyotr Jurgenson in October
1894 [2].
